The Berdoues family, passionate about perfumery and cosmetics, founded its namesake brand in 1902. For over 100 years, each generation has passed on this perfumery and cosmetology savoir-faire, inspired by nature to formulate perfumes and simple, authentic care products. In 2018, Berdoues introduced their new eco-friendly body care line that combines pleasure, nature and is respectful of your skin. The Mille Fleurs range has formulas that are between 90 and 98% natural, to respect the skin’s fragile balance, and all the active ingredients have been carefully selected for their recognised effectiveness and regenerative properties. Each product has its own complex composed of 2 to 5 active ingredients that have been researched and adapted to the needs of each product.
In the past, the tradition of the Mille Fleurs consisted of gathering all the flowers from the harvest that had not been purchased to create bouquets intended to be given out as gifts. With time, its usage evolved, and the Mille Fleurs became a container where, after each olfactory session, a perfumer’s unsuccessful trials where deposited. In 1967, Pierre Berdoues put several different unsuccessful trials in his Mille Fleurs, unwittingly creating a unique olfactory concentrate, a floral bouquet with an enticing scent. For over 50 years, the company have held on to this formulation like a treasure, but now they have chosen to share it and make it the exclusive olfactory signature of their Mille Fleurs range of care products that proudly bears its name.
